Sanya Kapoor 

​​​​​Sanya Kapoor, founder of Unplastixed, is a water activist who is on a mission to replace plastic water bottle use with sustainable materials.  With drinking water scarcity as an emerging global issue, Sanya used machine learning to optimize energy consumption at water purification plants. For her efforts, Sanya received professional society awards from: San Diego County Water Authority, American Society of Civil Engineers, American Academy of Pediatrics and Water Reuse Association. During her research at UCSD on Glioblastoma (Brain Cancer), she became concerned with the link between human health and microplastics found in plastic water bottles. This gave rise to her initiative "Un-Plastix" that focuses on reducing plastic bottle use and improving human health. Join her in making a positive impact on our planet and our health!

Our Mission:

Un-Plastix is a 501-c non-profit organization, making significant strides in promoting environmental sustainability and human health by offering water bottles crafted from sustainable materials. Through partnerships with various organizations, including public and private and school districts, Un-Plastix aims to replace single-use plastic bottles with eco-friendly alternatives, particularly at events. In addition to providing these sustainable products, Un-Plastix is dedicated to raising awareness in the community about the harmful effects of plastic on the environment and human health. By educating the youth in the community, Un-Plastix hopes to foster a sense of responsibility and encourage lifelong sustainable habits.
